It takes educated thinking to make power moves, and much of this wisdom you will never find in school. Where can the fundamental moves be found that masters of the game of life and business use? Maybe… in a book.
After devoting years to reading books like The Art Of Human Chess: A Study Guide To Winning and The 48 Law of Pimpology by Pimpin’ Ken, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, The 48 Laws of Power by Robert Greene, The Art Of War by Sun Tzu, The Art Of The Deal by Donald Trump, and Cash Flow Quadrant by Robert Kiyosaki, Black Skin White Mask and The Wretched of The Earth by Fantz Fanon. I began a journey to discover alternatives to thinking in the traditional way..
It’s your move… this game offers no rewards to fools, so you gotta be ready to make that next move your best move. ~Don G
On this path to mastery, I’ve devoted decades to acquiring the skills needed to live life on my own terms. I’ve read more than 400 business, psychology, history and leadership books and many of the books mentioned above have directly lead to my successes and provided immense value and guidance. With that being said, to truly master this game, the biggest secret has always been repetition.
Each week I will share a different Master Move with you and it is my hope that you aim higher then those stuck in mediocrity around you. Study with repetition until these Master Moves become like your last name.
The difference is that the individuals in our society that succeed aim higher than those that do not succeed. ~Pimpin’ Ken
A positive attitude is one of the first master moves largely overlooked by the masses as a coping tool with daily affairs. However, at its foundation, positive attitudes promote exactly what you need to avoid, worrying and negative thinking. Adopting it as a way of thinking will automatically improve your situation creating opportunities to be happier, brighter and more successful than you would otherwise be.
A positive attitude allows you to open your eyes to the brighter side of life. This in turn becomes a catalyst to optimistic, thinking, which leads to mental freedom and creative thinking. It is certainly a state of mind that is well worth developing.
Positive attitude manifests in the following ways:
- Positive thinking.
- Constructive thinking.
- Creative thinking.
- Motivation and energy to do things and accomplish goals.
- An attitude of happiness.
A positive frame of mind can help you in many ways, such as:
- Expecting success and not failure.
- Making you feel inspired.
- It gives you the strength not to give up, if you encounter obstacles on your way.
- It makes you look at failure and problems as blessings in disguise.
- Believing in yourself and in your abilities.
- Enabling you to show self-esteem and confidence.
- You look for solutions, instead of dwelling on problems.
- You see and recognize opportunities.
Learn to maintain a positive attitude no matter what is going on around you. It isn’t easy, but it could change your whole life. Think of this way of thinking like building muscle from daily workouts at the gym. As you continue to put in work repetition starts building mental muscle memory until you find yourself naturally existing in a positive state. Once this attitude becomes becomes a part of your personality, it becomes contagious and before you know it, the positive energy is released by you into the universe, resonating and attracting those in your sphere of influence, to you.
